Political Systems

Mexico is a federal republic operating under a centralized government. The president is elected by popular vote for a six-year term, and in 2006, Mexicans elected pro-business President Felipe Calderon of the PAN Party. At minimum, this ensures the United States another four years of pro-business, pro-United States political stability.

Consequently, U.S. investors continue to instill confidence in other potential American buyers by demonstrating the pro-business nature of the Mexican political system.
